Judges look for a passionate commitment to making breakfast a stand-out experience at the hotel or guest-house. The whole approach of the establishment must be positive and original… from menu concept through product sourcing to final presentation at the table. Innovative dishes, re-invented classics, home-baking and thoughtful touches designed to make breakfast memorable will all aid the case of nominees here. Provision of healthy / organic options will be looked for, and this so increasingly. (Four national awards are made, in size categories, for fairness and consumer clarity: B&B / Guest House; and Small, Medium and Large Hotel.) Scotland has wonderful natural produce and we want to see this showcased at the start of the day.
