Our review

The Craigatin House & Courtyard is a gem of a guest house, located at the end of the town of Pitlochry but only a short walk away from the busy and picturesque high street.

As you enter the hotel you can literally feel the welcoming warmth of the owners, Martin and Andrea. Their hospitality is matched only by the warmth (in winter), of the roaring log wood stove located in the very attractive dining room.

The bedrooms are all created in the same style with very comfortable beds and bedding and quality furniture. The rooms are all of a good size and there is also the choice of a suite or twin and double rooms.

All the bathrooms have an excellent shower facilities and are very well maintained. Nice use of quality toiletries and very fluffy towels.

The owners have an infinite knowledge of the area and are more than happy to make recommendations as to where to walk and how to find the best local hostelries.

The Craigatin House and Courtyard does not have a bar or evening restaurant, but there are more than enough choices within a 5 minute walk. If it is raining outside, don’t worry, each bedroom is provided with its own umbrella.
