Our review

The Westerwood team will cater to your every need at this delightful Hotel & Golf resort, which lies just a 15 minute drive away from Glasgow in a wonderful countryside setting.

After having checked in with the on hand reception team, your stay truly starts in your comfortable bedroom. Here you find everything from crisp linened beds, plenty of speciality coffee and teas, state of the art entertainment systems and sparkling warm bathrooms that make you not want to leave your room. The 148 bedrooms offer different sizes, so there is plenty of choice, no matter if you are travelling alone or with the whole family.

However there is more to explore and endless ways to relax and enjoy yourself at Westerwood. For those wanting a more laid back approach, the Spa with a wide range of treatments has over 7 treament suites, the pool, sauna and steam room add a bit more liveliness to it and even a state of the art gym provides plenty of exercise equipment to keep you busy for hours.

And as the name suggests, the award winning golf course is at your disposal with equipment for hire if needed and stunning views over the Campsie Hills throughout. Designed by Seve Ballesteros and Dave Thomas, this course is still one of the hidden gems, but an absolute treasure to explore.

For those needing to catch up on a little bit of work throughout their stay, the rooms offer spacious desks with plenty of sockets and complimentary fast wifi.

After so much excitement, dinner is of course well catered for. The Flemings restaurant offers a fine dining menu displaying the creative works of the kitchen with fresh local ingredients wherever possible and has classic items such as Black Pudding filled Beef Wellington on the menu to tempt you. An extensive wine list accompanies the menu beautifully and the well trained team is always at hand to recommend. If a lighter snack and more simple menu is to your liking, the Brasserie features classic British dishes with a twist in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, perfect to enjoy the evening after a busy day.

But the Westerwood is not just for relaxing. The spacious large function rooms and smaller conference rooms, suitable for up to 400 guests, are fitted with modern technology to cater for any meeting or event, no matter how small or large. And even at the weekends the banqueting and events team does not rest. With regular evening entertainment events such as dinner dances, there is always something going on at the Westerwood.
