Our review

The Lodge on Loch Lomond is a well-established and well-known hotel with an enviable position on one of Scotland’s major tourist attractions.

The hotel has been heavily invested in over the past couple of years and now boasts a contemporary and chic style in all of its bedrooms and particularly the Loch facing bar lounge and restaurant. The Reception area retains the charm of the @lodge design and all told the Hotel is a wonderfully relaxing place to unwind for the pace and stress of modern living.

As well as an investment in the physical aspect of the hotel the owners have also strongly developed the food and drink offering with a new management team in that area. This has delivered two AA rosettes in their 1st year.

They style and balance of both the food and drink offering really does cater for everyone, with menus featuring popular, comforting and sustaining dishes to something a little more adventurous on their market menu.

A revamp of the bar, with a beautiful copper clad feature, and an exciting mix of whiskies, Scottish Gins and some really inventive cocktails, makes this a BIG step above your normal hotel bar.

The attention of presentation in terms of food made it very understandable why the AA awarded their two rosettes.

Of course, all of this can be enjoyed looking out on the iconic Scottish landscape up and beyond the Highland divide that traverses Loch Lomond.

This hotel is beginning to gain the recognition for the effort and investment of the owners and management and they are really putting this property back on the hotel and culinary map of Scotland
