Our review

This gem of a boutique 16-bedroom hotel is located within easy striking distance of the centre of Edinburgh and all the attractions of this fabulous city.

Recently refurbished the hotel owners from Orkney have managed to capture the spirit of the island and bring it to this intimate friendly hotel.  Standards are very high, only the best materials have been used, many sourced from Scotland and Orkney. They have retained the original Victorian features and have managed to compliment this with modern contemporary attributes many of which have been hand crafted. The attention to detail is nothing short of incredible.

Enjoy a single malt whisky in the bar, or a hand crafted Scottish gin in the relaxing bar/lounge/ restaurant, stay for dinner if you wish and enjoy 1, 2, or 3 courses or any number of individual dishes. The food is all freshly cooked and reflects the quality that you would expect from one of Edinburgh’s best boutique hotels.
