Our review

Trump Turnberry is a genuinely iconic venue that offers everything you need for a journey of unbridled luxury, a jewel in the crown that is Scotland’s west coast. Great sport, supreme comfort and unbridled luxury combine to make this a must-visit destination.

A comprehensive collection of rooms, suites and lodges ensures there is something to suit all tastes here. Whether you’re here to walk in the footsteps of the world’s greatest golfers or simply to unwind like never before, you can be sure of an experience that will remain in the memory for a lifetime.

The refurbishment is wholly impressive and reflects the grandeur of the building with lavish decoration and an almost unending supply of crystal chandeliers.

The hotel, club house, golf academy and half way house developments have married the old and the new magnificently. There is homage to the grandeur of the time when the hotel was built with beautiful crystal chandeliers, sumptuous carpets, leather armchairs and more than a nod to modern facilities with double glazed windows, air conditioning, fine bed linen, etched crystal glasses along with 65-inch TVs, Nespresso coffee machines and USB points in the bedrooms.

Above all however is the atmosphere. From the moment of arrival to be greeted at the door by someone in the Turnberry tartan to the smiles of welcome and genuine interest in whether you had everything you needed or whether they could do more to assist you in any way the friendliness of the staff is second to none. It comes as no surprise that staff are retained as they obviously have much pride in what the hotel offers.

The restaurant, 1906, has recently dropped its Italian adoption and reverted to a more traditional style offering that befits the whole ambience and fell of the resort. Boasting panoramic views to Ailsa Craig, the fayre offered in 1906 is the best that Scotland’s land and sea have to offer.

The opulent Spa enjoys the same stunning ocean views offering a wide range of exquisite treatments and ESPA products. Turnberry Adventures provides for a range of captivating country pursuits for individuals, families and corporate groups.

The hotel even provides an area where afternoon tea can be offered to both man and man’s best friend, whatever it is you might need to make your stay special, there is every chance Turnberry can provide it!
